Precision Edge was formed as a business in 1987. The company owner Mark Candfield identified a niche in the Machine Blade Market. He saw an opportunity for a bespoke manufacturer to offer extremely well made precision blades which were suitable for the particular customers application.

Unable to source knives of suitable quality for their requirements from a variety of existing knife manufacturers in 1989 Precision Edge under took a massive capital investment which resulted in the formation of their own bespoke knife manufacturing production facility. The project has been highly successful and Precision Edge now has a unique position in the machine knife market.

The business has received many hundreds of thousands pounds in investment providing us with one of the most comprehensive machine shops within our industry.

Aiming squarely at the quality end of the blade market ensures that we concentrate on offering upgraded and high performance solutions to customers technical difficulties.
